Our history starts way back in 1898 when Louw Geldenhuis purchased Laurentia.
Honingklip, as the farm was known back then, got its first occupants in 1918
when Louw’s son Louw Geldenhuys II and his wife Anna decided to call the farm
home.
After a hail storm tragically killed all the sheep on the farm, left with no means to make a living, Anna Geldenhuys began selling freshly picked garden flowers from the garage of their home. What started out as the farmer’s wife humbly selling flowers out of her garage, grew into Versilia Roses, a massive rose nursery covering 10 hectares.
